Kira Tomoda '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been swimming on a team since before I even reached double-digits. And since then, it has never failed to be a motivational, exciting, positive sport for me. I joined the high school varsity swim team freshman year, and currently being a junior, it has become a home to me, and I hope to continue with it through and after college. My junior year season started 3 weeks ago, and we have had numerous meets, all of which I have gotten only personal bests in every time!

My high school experience with the sport and team has played a key role for me in understanding leadership and upholding your individual role. The community that high school swimming gives me is something that I hope to re-achieve in college, which I know would allow me to thrive both mentally and physically. My hopes are to find a college and a coach that can help and encourage me to reach my full potential!
