Personal Statement
My parents first decided that swimming would be a good sport for me when they threw me in the pool and I floated. Ever since then, I have been dedicated to the sport. Swimming has helped me in virtually all aspects of my life. It has provided the structure and foundation that has allowed for my academic achievements. Competitive swimming has also provided life-long friendships and mentors who have pushed me to succeed and thrive both in and outside the world of swimming. I truly hope to improve my athletic and academic careers by swimming on a college team.
