Madisson Davenport '23 Recruiting Profile

I'm a military brat and have swam in Guam, all over Europe, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and currently in San Antonio, TX.  During my time in Europe I swam in the European Forces Swim League against other U.S. Military children whose parents were stationed around the continent.  I actually won my age group all three years in the league as an 8,9, & 10 year old.  I also swam with an Italian team and as a 9 year old I placed 3rd in the 100 meter LC freestyle at their national meet.  As a freshman in high school I was the first leg of my team's 200 & 400 yard freestyle relays at the Florida HS state championship finishing third in both and achieving All American times.  Being a part of many teams over the years has made me the ultimate teammate.  I have a bubbly personality and am always on deck cheering for my teammates.  I bring a 'can do' attitude to the teams I'm on and still keep in contact with many of my former teammates, still encouraging them to give it their best.  I push myself and my teammates at every practice and realize swimming is a sport where milliseconds count.  I'm not just a solid athlete, I strive for high achievement in my academics as well.  I've taken several honors and AP courses so far and have a 3.78 GPA.  I'm leaning toward pre-law as a major as two of my uncles are accomplished attorneys.  I know I can make any team better both in the pool and in the classroom!
