My name is Amanda Torres and I've been swimming for 4 years, I took interest in swimming once I saw my oldest sister swim for her high school swim team. I will always get this rush when I get on that block, so I knew I had felled in love with this sport. Swimming has taught me to be a team leader, encourage my teammates and push them to be better. I've learned many leadership skills from ROTC by taking charge of community events or unit events. Making it to states for shooting with rifles and orienteering, But not only that I am the iron cade for clay highs school, pushing myself to be the strongest and most motivated cadet in my school. I plan to give it my all and reach my goal, I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my teammates, I am a great encourager and try to offer great motivation for others. I'm determined to swim at a higher level in college, I believe that swimming is a positive challenge for me, including meeting new people and being part of a Team.
