Rachel Lanam '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'4" swimmer from Sebastian, FL and will graduate in the 2013 class. I've been part of the Treasure Coast Swimming Conquistadores team (USA Swimming) for the last 7 years. I've competed and placed in top 8 and 16 at the Florida Junior Olympics, Speedo International Age Group Invitational, and Florida Senior Championships. I have qualifying times for Speedo Southern Sectionals and on my High School team qualified for Districts, Regional and State meets. My strongest strokes are the freestyle and butterfly, with the 200 fly as my favorite. I'm hoping to find a great school, coach and team to help me continue to grow and challenge myself as a swimmer. I'm very interested in attending a school outside of Florida, especially in the New England area. But I'm also considering other states and within Florida as well. I'm undecided as to what I'll major in during college. My weighted GPA is 3.84 and I'm taking Honors, AP, and IB classes. I'm a very dedicated and hard worker at both school and swimming.
