Lucilia Foran '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucilia Foran, I’ve been swimming since I was three-years-old for Amity regional aquatic club, and now for Joseph A. Foran High School as well. I started competing at age 5, when my love for competitive swimming began. I love the pool with all my heart, and there isn’t a day when I’m not motivated to improve my swimming techniques. I Have made many milestones during my years of swimming. Some of those milestones consist of,

1. Breaking 30 seconds on my 50, free as a 12 and under.

2. Achieving a 27.97 in the 50 free before my freshman year of high school.

3. Competing in the open water championship as a 13 and under.

Whenever I am faced with a challenge, I get back up and face it head-on. I’m determined to reach my goals as an athlete and student. One of these many goals is to swim for a division one university and compete in the larger meets like Nationals.

My academics are something I take seriously, being an honors AP student with a high GPA of 4.5 out of a 4.0 GPA. I graduated from middle school with honors with distinction and as a freshman in high school I am taking all honors classes, including an honors algebra-II class. I study hard and take everything I do with a grand passion. My PSAT scores were above average and in the top of my class. I push myself past my limits to achieve what has to be done to reach goals in small steps. I already have a career path picked out and have been traveling down it since my first year of middle school. I aspire to be an Imagineer, helping to design the Disney parks alongside other exceptional individuals.

 I can work under any kind of pressure and I’m a detailed note-taker, both in the pool and in the classroom. I’m a student leader, having been part of the student council during middle school. I plan to be on the student council as a freshman onward, including at college.
