Taylor Humphrey '24 Recruiting Profile

Swimming has been my passion for 12 years. For some people, swimming is genetic or just naturally engraved into their DNA, but for me, I have had to work very hard in order to get where I am today. Two years ago I tore the labrum in my shoulder due to overworking and I was out for a year recovering from surgery. Shortly after I was in the pool again, we moved to a town where the closest swim team is an hour away. I knew that I could not give up swimming because it is such an important part of my life and I needed a good swim community. I strive to put God first in every single aspect of my life including academics and athletics. Everything I have accomplished to get to this point has all been through the strength that God has given me and I try my best to reflect that to others around me in encouragement and positivity.
