Swimming has been one of the most important places in my life, outside of church, where I have learned what it means to be a team player and to be coachable in an area in which I want to continue to improve.  Swimming not only gives me the opportuity to work on myself as an individual swimmer, but also reminds me that any accomplishment I have contributes to the overall success of the team, who is my family.  Swimming is where I have made lifelong friends where we encourage each other both in and out of the pool.  We support each other during races, practice and in the classroom.  My goal is to swim in college as I earn a bachelor's degree in early childhood education.  My work ethic will allow me to succeed in both.  Swimming allows for discipline and focus, and I look forward to being on a team where I can find a family, make strides in my own swimming, and help the team succeed.
