Helen Sorme '21 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to swim competitively for a college or university in my future. I plan to pursue a degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering and go on to design prosthetic equipment for athletes. I have been recognized for my positive attitude in my athletic environment as I always strive to put my best foot forward in leading my team to success. In addition to being varsity swim captain at my school, I am the captain of my varsity cross country team and a member of my school's varsity soccer team. I am in the top 3% of my class and have earned all A's throughout high school so far.  I am in all upper-level classes and take the academic advantages offered to me as often as I can (in terms of available AP classes, etc). I have grown strong connections with my coaches in both the academic and athletic fields, as they are role models for me to continue to improve my character and persevere through any hardships I may encounter.
