Personal Statement
I’m not just a Student-Athlete, I am also a risk taker and a leader. I had experiences with leadership not just in my team sports as Captain of the Swim team and Track and field team but also in my job. My job as a lifeguard gave me the skills to be more professional. As I worked as a lifeguard for the Chicago Park District I faced several situations in the pool and in the beach which included drownings, CPR, and Asma attack’s. These situations helped me overcome my fears and be a risk taker not just in my job but outside of my job. as well.
