Emily Erickson '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Erickson and I am a Junior at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Illinois. I just completed my third year as a Varsity Girls HS Swim Member.  I qualified for Sectionals as the number 2 seed in 100 Breaststroke and swam my fastest time:  1:08.01, just shy of making the state cut. However, I am even more determined to continue to swim year-round to make State my Senior Year of High School.

I have been swimming club swimming since I was 8 years old.  In 2011, I moved to Connecticut where I had an amazing swim experience with the Westport Water Rats, qualifying for both State and Zones. I realized how powerful the mind is in achieving your goals.  In 2012, we moved back to Chicago, where I rejoined by Club Team, Chicago Wolfpack Aquatic Club which is where I am currently swimming.

I have a strong work ethic, in both the pool and classroom.  My current GPA is 3.5 and I am always striving to improve my overall GPA.  I have yet to take the ACTs. 

I am passionate about finding the right school and fit that will allow me to achieve great things both in the classroom and the pool.
