I would be a good candidate for your team because I am a very hardworking, supportive, and reliable teammate. I have always been taught that working hard and putting in extra effort will make me a better swimmer. Since I was about 13, I have been doing personal training and working with a sports nutritionist because I know how important it is to gain muscle and eat clean. Unfortunately, I have dealt with injuries such as torn labrums. These injuries have taken the pool from me. during my time away, I have learned how to be the best teammate I can be. I try to go to as many practices as possible to sit on the side and cheer on my team as they work through the difficult 2-3 hour practices. I also go to meets to be an assistant coach or just to be a cheerleader. As a swimmer, I know how it feels to add time at a meet that is so important to you, so I help pick my teammates up and get them ready for their next race. I have always tried to make sure that I can be the person my teammates can fall back on when they need someone. I am different from many other recruits because of how reliant I am. I have had bad seasons, and I know what it feels like to add, but I also know that it is part of the game, and if I work hard and stick to it, I will give better. In my ten years of swimming, I have never once given up or backed down because I know that giving up or stopping isn't an option, and I will work hard every day to achieve my goal. Academically wise, I go to the best catholic school in Illinois, and the average ACT score is 29. I have always been blessed with great time management. I know how to balance school and swimming, and I promise to do the same if I get recruited to swim on your team. I always push to take the hardest classes and put my best foot forward.
