Emily Snyder '23 Recruiting Profile

Swimming has been a big part of my life over the years---it's helped me grow and develop in so many ways, and I look forward to continuing that important part of my life in college.  One of my proudest swimming accomplishments was breaking the 50-free record at my high school, and the swimmer whose record I broke was my sister, who set the record more than 10 years ago!

I have many interests outside of swimming, including playing high school varsity golf, and downhill snow skiing, to mention a few. I am very interested in business and entrepreneurship and last summer I ran my own business, teaching a lot of kids how to swim while also lifeguarding on the side. 

I have done very well academically, taking a number of AP classes and my current weighted GPA is well above 4.0. 

I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically, and that has a swim team that is successful, fun and close knit.
