Hi I'm Rajah,
First off my name is pronounced "Ra jah". Although it is a male Indian name, I was named as close to my grandfather name which was Roger because he passed away 4 months before I was conceived. I am a budding junior at an all girls school, Elizabeth Seton in Bladensburg, MD. It's not a huge school but the very diverse population is about 500. Initially I didn't think that I would like an all girl school environment....I thought it would be too much drama, which I hate. But it has been a very good experience for me. I will be very honest and tell you that I am still undecided as to whether I want to swim in college or not. So often I have heard from my former team mates that they are deprived from having a full college experience because they are ALWAYS with their swim team and very rarely have the opportunity to do college life things because they are always with the same group of people...the swim team. So I have been worrying about that. I have finally focused on the things that I am looking for in a college...family atmosphere, diversity, small to medium population, and nice weather :-). I'm a very quiet person but around people that I know I can be very outgoing, talkative and supportive. I'm a student that gets test anxiety and I don't really test very well no matter how much I study. But I enjoy learning. I'm very care free and never complain much about anything. This year one of my favorite subjects has been Environmental Science. Finally I've gotten a teacher that knows how to spark my interest in science. I'm still waiting for that teacher for Math which is not my favorite subject at all. I think I'm a valuable person to have on anyone's roster.
