I have been swimming since I was seven years old and it has had a positive impact on many aspects of my life. I would very much like to continue swimming through my college years. I hope to become a better swimmer in college and be surrounded by a supportive team. I am willing to put in the extra effort to excel in both swimming and academics. I am looking for a school with not only a swim team that will help me achieve my goals, but a school that will challenge me academically but still have a comfortable, welcoming environment. I strive to be my best and push myself to take as many advanced classes I can. Some of those classes are AP classes, and I plan to take three or four more AP classes next year. Outside of school and swimming, I try to volunteer as often as I can. I have spent many hours at a local horse rescue, taking care of neglected and abused horses, as well as setting up the local farmers market every Sunday morning during the summer months. I believe volunteering for these activities teaches me how to follow directions and carry out specific orders from people. I believe it also educates me in time management, forcing me to balance my academics, swimming and volunteer activities. I interact with others very well and I like to help others when needed. I am open to talking to any schools that will be the right fit for me in the future.
