My name is Chloe Widman and I will be graduating high school in 2020. I began swimming for a summer team at 5 years old and instantly fell in love. I started swimming year-round that fall and have continued for the past 11 years, constantly learning as a student of the sport. I am also a student at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland, where I am a member of the rigorous Science and Technology Research program. Through my exhaustion of the ERHS math courses, I have learned of my immense love for the subject and my interest in pursuing it for my career. As a part of ERHS's prestigious internship program, I am currently researching poliovirus at the University of Maryland, College Park. I have been playing oboe for 8 years and have been ranked as a Superior Solo Performer for 6 years at the county level and 2 years at the state level. I am a driven student and swimmer with strong collaboration and leadership skills and I hope to continue researching, studying math, playing oboe, and swimming at a collegiate level in 2020.
