I started swimming back when I lived in Russia with my mother and right there and then it became my passion. I had to stop for a while and when my mother and I moved all the way to the U.S., I started swimming again with even a greater energy and passion to succeed. Life here was completely different from my home country, so it was hard to adapt and even understand the coach's workouts. After a while everything became a lot easier to understand and work harder for my goals.
Right now I am just entering my sophomore year of high school and already being one of the top swimmers of my team as well as having great grades. I think succeeding in school is as important as succeeding in sports since that is what gets you far in life. I am very hardworking and will not stop until I achieve my goals of being a collegiate swimmer.
