Megan Lathrop 200...Personal Statement
As soon as I started swimming competitively at 12 years old, I fell in love with the community, endorphins, and rush of this amazing sport. Throughout the years, I've had so much fun working with my team everyday, improving, and learning more about swimming and myself. Thinking about my college future, I couldn't imagine a lifestyle without the joys and rewards of swimming with dedicated and positive swim community.
I continue to love swimming as it's taught me many of the valuable lessons I've learned throughout life. Lessons like: how to act as a great teammate and friend, be supportive at all times and participate in healthy competition, how to work hard, set goals, and even recover from disappointments.
I look forward to the lessons and joys that come with a college swimming career.
