Swimming in college is one of my biggest dreams. I've been in the pool since I was six months old and swimming competitively since I was eight. I love the sport so much and there is nothing I would rather do than be at the pool with my team mates. I would make a good candidate for a collegiate team because I feel that I am qualified to do so. I am very dedicated to swim.I swim five days a week for at least two hours. I almost never miss practice. I work hard every practice and push myself to achieve my goals. Once I have my mind set on something, I do my best to achieve it. I would also consider myself different from other recruits in character, athletics, and swim. I consider myself to be a kind and thoughtful person. I respect myself, my coaches, and my team mates at practice. I'm very determined and often set goals for myself. Athletic wise, I am an IMer. Not many swimmers my age would consider themselves an IMer but, I am. I have a 2:17.19 in my 200 IM and I'm only a sophomore in high school. Coaches typically look for swimmers with at least a 2:35. I am currently the Bay State Games 400 IM champion for two years in a row. Academic wise, I am in all honors and AP classes and I make honor roll every year. I work very hard in school and always keep up with my grades. This is why I believe I would be a good candidate for a collegiate swim team.
