Madison Crummey '22 Recruiting Profile

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Madison Crummey and I am a rising Senior at Milton High School in Massachusetts. Like most students striving for a top-notch education, I take school seriously and continue to perform at a high level. I am also passionate about swimming. It has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. I have been swimming for Shamrock Swim Club competitively for almost 9 years. During that time, I have grown successfully as a well-rounded swimmer but have also forged long-lasting friendships, learned the value of being a good teammate and most importantly what it takes to be dedicated. It’s also been exciting to be part of my high school swim team where I’ve contributed with fast times and advanced and placed in State competitions. I am honored to be named Captain for my Senior season and hope that COVID relaxes so the State meet can take place next season.

My connection with the sport doesn’t stop at practice or at a meet. Swimming has in fact woven itself into the fabric of my personal life. For example, I am a certified lifeguard and swim lesson instructor. When not swimming you might find me with friends and family or doing some form of art; my favorite being calligraphy and doodles. Or you can find me in the kitchen trying new foods. Swimming and food are best friends. Just ask a swimmer.

I am excited to enter the next phase in life and cannot imagine my college experience without a swim team. I hope to find a team that can be my second family, full of camaraderie as well as an energy source to push each other to success in the pool and weight room. The head of that team is a Coach who will use his/her experience to challenge me to achieve personal and team goals. I will be a great addition to any team because I am a worker, a versatile swimmer who is looking to go to the next level.  The right school and team are out there.  I cannot wait for the experience to begin!
