Hi! My name is Megan Clifford and one of my biggest dreams in life has always been swimming in college. I have been swimming since I was 7 years old, and have always found the best part of the sport to be the lifelong friends and memories that I have made, and will continue to make. One of the other things that I enjoy most about swimming, is the competitive aspect that comes along with it. I love competing and pushing myself every single time I am in the pool.
Over the past few year, swimming in college has really started to transfer from a dream that I had, to a reality. Mostly, I compete in the fly, freestyle and IM events, but am certainly working on improving my backstroke and breaststroke for the IM, as well.
Along with swimming on the Women's swim team at Seaholm , I am also a member of BBD(Birmingham Blue Dolphins), which is the team I train with outside of high school in the winter, and in the summer, during long course season. Both of these teams have lead me to great success over the past few years, and as of recently have been allowing to drop large amounts of time in certain events. My coaches on both of these teams would describe me as hard-working and passionate about the sport. My teammates would describe me as cheerful and a fun person to be around.
