I started swimming for fun when I was six years old on a summer club with my friends, and I have loved the sport ever since. Through swimming I have learned many valuable lessons I can carry through life. Swimming has taught me the value of dedication, hard work, commitment, and time management. I have become a competitive and dependable athlete and student. The hard work and commitment I have put in at the pool has also carried over to my school work in which I maintain a 4.0 GPA. That commitment is also shown to my teammates who have become my family and some of my closest friends. We push each other in the pool, celebrate each other's successes, and support each other through disappointment.
I am looking forward to furthering my swimming career at a school that is competitive in both academics and athletics. I am hoping to find a school with a great team atmosphere and a coaching staff to take my swimming to the next level.
