I have been swimming competitively since I was 7 years old. It has shaped me into who I am as a person and know that at the college level I will grow so much more.
I have accomplished top 12% in my class with a 4.0 GPA as both a freshman and a sophomore. I credit swimming for this as it has taught me discipline and to always strive to be better than I was yesterday. I work hard to accomplish this. I train 6 days a week at the pool and spend personal time at the gym working on my strength with guidance from a personal trainer. Swimming has allowed me to develop relationships with many people. I love being a part of a club team and a high school team because no matter whom I am with, they always inspire and encourage me to be better. This is something I am looking for in a college team also. I am further inspired by my coaches. My favorite part of swimming is being coached. I have been close with all my coaches and I respond well to their direction and feedback.
It has always been a dream of mine to attend a college where I can grow in my studies, in swimming and overall as a person.
