Ever since I started swimming competitively at 5 years old, I have loved being in the water. Throughout my swimming experience I have had many setbacks as well as many triumphs, but I believe that the obstacles I've overcome have taken the biggest role in shaping who I am today, as they have made me stronger and taught me many important lessons.
Throughout my experience, I have always been diligent and persevering, especially during tough practices. I credit my strong work ethic in the pool to my high grades and ability to handle a challenging course load in school, as the dedication I put into swimming translates to the dedication I put into my schooling. I also challenge myself to get higher grades on my assignments, and I never settle for being "just okay" or "good enough".
It is one of my biggest aspirations to swim and compete at the collegiate level as I believe that it will guide me toward reaching my goals, both academically and athletically; I am also looking forward to being a contributor to a team and refining my skills.
