When I attend college, I would like to major in one of my interest areas like math, business, science, or art. I enjoy drawing and painting, as well as engineering and design. For career day I visited an architectural firm in Minneapolis that specializes in building offices and hospitals. In addition to my studies, I would like to swim on a college team and to be a part of a group that is competitive and fun! Swimming has always been a part of my life, even when I was baby. My club and high school swimming experiences have not only improved my physical abilities but have also helped to develop my character. I have formed many incredible friendships, both on my team and other teams. Through this sport, I have also learned the importance of respect, diligence, intrinsic motivation, and self-discipline. These qualities have also helped me with school. Academically, I strive to produce the best work possible and don’t give up until comprehending the material. Learning from my mistakes and using them to grow and improve is a skill that is very important to me.
In my spare time, I like to volunteer with the swim club, and with organizations like Feed My Starving Children, and Many Hands, Many Meals (church) that provide food for those in need. It is important to volunteer because sometimes people go through tough times and need help. I enjoy being someone that can improve the lives of others and offer some assistance to those in need.
