In my freshman year, I qualified to state in the 200 medley relay but didn’t make it to finals. In my sophomore year, I qualified for state but only made it back the second day in my relays. The feeling of not being able to compete the second day along with my close friends made me decide that this is the time to get my goals in order and plan how I will achieve them. One of my proudest moments as a high school swimmer is when I qualified for state in all four of the events I wanted to and placed in the top 16. This has made me more driven to get better in and out of the pool to reach my future goals.
I have been lucky enough to be able to train with the most amazing coaches and teammates who continue to push me through workouts every day. Through my hard work and dedication, I have learned how valuable teamwork and leadership are. In choosing the right college for me, I am focusing on both academics as well as athletics. As a club swimmer and high school swimmer, I know I have what it takes to compete and thrive as a college athlete.
