Hello!
My name is Kihla Lax I've been swimming compitivly for six years. I specialize in distance freestyle and butterfly. Throughout many years of dedicating my life to swimming, it has changed me into the hard working and passionate athlete I am. During sixth grade I started to explore the competitive swimming world and it truly amazed me how commited the athletes were to this sport and how much it offers. Ever since then I've been hooked and have given my whole life into swimming. I started to dramatically improve over my freshman year of high school as I started to be a state finalist and started to qualify for meets such as North West Age Group Regionals and Western Senior Zones and I have been rapidly exceeding since then with even larger goals in mind. Im looking for a program where I can be pushed by my teammates and in the classroom to be a better student athlete and to bring my hardworking motivational spirit to the university. I have excellent leadership skills and am grateful to be able to express those being captain of Missoula Aquatic Club. The feeling of pride and joy from making a qualifying time standard and winning events after a long season of hard grueling work is what I strive for in my swimming career and I hope to continue this all throughout college.
