Brooke Blackard '20 Recruiting Profile

At the age of 10, I discovered swimming, and it has been my passion ever since. My first year of high school swimming was in 2017, and it came to a rather disappointing end, by me missing the state meet by fifteen one-hundredths of a second, but I have not let that stop me. This year at my sophomore regionals, I ended up placing second in the 100 yard backstroke (qualified for the Nevada State High School Championships, placing sixth), and meeting my goal of going sub 59 by going 58.61.  I am just coming off of the best LC season I have ever had, after competing in the SCS Summer JO's in Mission Viejo, CA, dropping time in all six events I swum, and getting my sectional time for the 100 back LC. I am excited to see what the upcoming short course season will bring!
