Courtney Miller '23 Recruiting Profile

I started swim lessons when I was 10 with my local YMCA. After I swam for the YMCA summer swim team, I knew swim was going to be my sport. After some research, I found the Sandpipers of Nevada who I've been swimming with since 2016. I'm so proud to be a part of the Sandpipers and I've made so many friends through them. I've worked so hard to get where I'm at with their help. I try to always stay focused and motivated, not only with swim, but with school as well. I take honors classes and I'm in the Sports Medical program at my high school. I haven't completely decided on a career yet, but I'm leaning toward physical therapy. I also belong to HOSA which is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of the ACTE. HOSA promotes career opportunities in the health care industry and enhances the delivery of quality health care to all people. It has provided me the chance to be a part of many community service events and has also rewarded me an activity letter from my high school for the work I completed for the HOSA State Conference. I feel that with my swim experience, academics, and community service that I would be an excellent college recruit.
