Hello! My name is Sophia Ettadlaoui, I am currently in my sophomore year at Highland Regional High School in Blackwood New Jersey. I am an honors student and participate in Highland Swimming and Girls Lacrosse. For as long as I could remember sports have been something that has motivated me. Every time I jumped into the pool or got on the field it was my safe place where I felt genuine happiness. My absolute dream is to go to a good university and study criminology/law, It's always been a top interest of mine. I come from a Moroccan-Muslim household with two immigrant parents. As the youngest I walked through every day watching them problem solve, and overcome every trouble. My biggest aspiration is to make all of them proud. I want to make it clear that my parents sacrifices of leaving home and coming to the United States was worth it. I'm a good candidate for your team because I will never give up and I mean that with everything in me. Due to lack of opportunities growing up I wasn't able to be on any club teams so I started much later than others, but I work harder to remain at their level. In my eyes, there is always something I can be doing better and I wont rest until I do it. I choose to remain optimistic and positive in every scenario and I'm not one to let people down. When given a chance/opportunity, I'll make you proud without a doubt. I'm different because I'm driven by passion, and a hunger for success. There's nothing I want more than to reach my full potential and one day help others do the same.
