Hi coaches! My name is Kaitlyn and I am a 16-year-old from North Cape May, New Jersey. I swim for the Wildwood Crest Dolphins Swim Team and I also swim for Lower Cape May Regional High School. Ever since I was a kid, I have had a love for everything involving water. I love fishing, surfing (well, I try my best at that one), paddle boarding, and most importantly, swimming. I joined the Wildwood Crest Dolphins when I was 7 years old, and I have had a passion for the sport of swimming ever since. I have a competitive spirit, but I also aim to be the most supportive teammate that I can be. When I was 12, I began competing in open water races and I was a lifeguard on the Wildwood Beach Patrol this past summer.
I am hoping to continue my passion for swimming as a college athlete. One specific reason that I think I would be a key piece to a collegiate team is that I am very versatile in the water. I have competed at a high level within my LSC in a wide variety of events ranging from the 1650 freestyle to the 50 backstroke. However, my best events are the 200 IM and 500 free. Outside of the water, I have been a First Honors student since sixth grade and am currently in four AP classes. I am hoping to be challenged both athletically and academically in college. One thing that is very important to me is having a strong team atmosphere that I can contribute to.
My goals in college are to be the best student, teammate, and athlete that I can be. I am very excited to hopefully continue my academic and athletic career at the collegiate level!
