From the young age of five I have been training on a club swim team. Swim has left me in tears, smiles and sometimes throwing my cap down on the ground and wanting to give up. However, something you must consider about me is I’m an extremely hard worker. Although a situation may be tough for me to handle I never like to give up and I promise you I will always put 100% and even more into what I’m doing.
However, what most people lack that I have is a story. Believe me, I don‘t want people to feel bad for me, however, I want to encourage people that although times can be tough, you can always find something that allows one to release this frustration. For me this is swimming. Since a young age, I have always had an extreme anxiety disorder which made me struggle in school. As I became older I found medication to help me with this anxiety and later depression. Despite this, I don’t let this consume me and have learned to conquer it through my academics, swim, and all the things I do. For the future, I want to aspire a career in forensics or broadcasting, and drop my times to under an 18:59 (which is my current time in the 1650 freestyle ) and under a 2:24 (which is my time for 200 butterfly). In the future I also want to improve my academics, because although I’m not the strongest in those areas especially math, I want to continue to improve and make changes in these areas.
