In the past years, after going through different levels and types of swimming - including both club and high school teams - I have learned that I not only enjoy the competitiveness of racing, but even more so, I enjoy the camaraderie of being a part of a team that is working towards one common goal. This was especially important in 2018 when I helped to lead our high school team its first county championship! Aside from spending hours in the club pool and high school pool, I also devote 30+ hours a month volunteering as an EMT at our local rescue squad. This includes working as a team in stressful situations, doing events for the community and training. I have enjoyed this experience as an EMT and I plan on continuing to pursue my passion for the medical field in college. I think I am a good candidate for a college team because I am very team oriented, goal oriented and hardworking both in and out of the water.
