Hello! My name is Emma Kelley. I have been competitively swimming for ten years now on Charger Aquatics. Through succeeding in the 200 and 100 Backstroke, Mile and 1000 Freestyle, and many other diverse events. I have been an outstanding, friendly member of my team for many years. My team is my family and has helped me learn how to succeed in a team environment. Through my years of skill and support shown, I got a position as a Junior- Coach with my coach this summer. I aspire to be a hard-working, dedicated, and all around amazing college athlete. I have thrown my heart into the sport of swimming for many years; and I wish to continue to do so in college. I will work hard, race, and help create a lively team community filled with friendship and support. Not only do I aspire to succeed in my sport, but I aspire to succeed in my studies. I am a dedicated student who stays on top of their work, because my studies are just as important to me as swimming is. I hope to study to become an Educator. Sharing my knowledge with others fills me with joy and excites my love of learning. I enjoy spending my spare time creating art, baking for my family and friends, and reading novels. I initiated an independent study in art this year, purely because of my love for it. I do my best to be a leader and create a supportive and open environment in all aspects of my life. For example, I have been elected to be editor and chief of my yearbook next year. It will be created by a group of editors and me from scratch and imagination. I have also been a prominent leader and teacher on my High School's swim team. My team is small and closely knit, it runs on friendship and inteam teaching. On my club team, I volunteered to mentor younger swimmers and share my experiences, both successes and fails, to help further their knowledge and experience with the sport. I hope to carry these skills into college and life in general. I'd love to speak with you about your team and school!
