As a high school freshman, I have been swimming competitively for 4 years. It started out as something that I just did for fun through our local YMCA. I then went on to swim with my school district's modified team for 2 years. I am now in my first year of high school and on the varsity swim team. In fall of 2015, helped in setting a school record for the 400 meter relay. It was then that swimming became more for me than just a hobby. I love getting in the water, and even more I love learning from each experience on how to make myself better in both time and form.
When I am not in the water, I am involved in my church's (Farmington United Methodist) youth group. I am also involved in Midlakes High School Theatre Experience (our drama club) and Midlakes High School student council (where I hold the office of treasurer).
My goal is to someday work with elephants as a bio-researcher. I want to learn more about what their behaviors mean and help the world understand these amazing animals. When it comes to the water, my goal is to be the best swimmer I can be and to inspire other students to continue to strive for their personal best.
