Emily Ferrari '20 Recruiting Profile

As a junior, I was co-captain of the Varsity of the Girls Varsity Swim team and will be returning as a Captain next year
I have done a 150 mile and 580 mile loaded bike rides during my past summers in Michigan and I'm currently training for a third trip that will be 1,500 miles from Michigan to New Hampshire this coming summer, where I will be carrying everything I need for 4 weeks on the back of my bike.
Last summer I kayaked for 21 days in the Georgian Bay in Canada loaded, sleeping under the stars most nights unless it was raining.
I partake in the Ride For Missing Children raising at a minimum of $500 for the charity every year that I do it, also I am a high school ambassador and give bike safety and online safety speech to the local elementary school through this program.
For two years I have been accepted into the Leadership for Athletes program that runs through my school, in this, we mainly focus on community outreach.
I have spent over 5 weeks doing community service and leadership training during my summers in a program called Avail through the American Youth Foundation
I am currently the Vice President of Leo club and in past years have held important committee roles that planned fundraisers for the club. Next year I will be the President of the club.
