Through out all my life I have always in some way been in the water. I knew right away in fifth grade, when I first joined the club team I am on now, that swimming was my passion. One thing about me is whenever I do something, I do it with everything I have no matter the circumstances and that includes swimming and my academic standards. Where I live, the main high school did not have a swim team at the time, but in my 10th grade year they added a swim team and once I heard about that I knew what I had to do. So, for my junior year I moved from my private school that I was at my whole life to go to public school so I could not only swim on a high school level, but so I could challenge myself academically. Through that transition, it showed that, yes change is not always easy, but change is necessary to move forward in life. And I understand that swimming in college might not be easy, but I am not the type of person to let anything get in my way. I am willing to work as hard as I have to, in and out of the water, to not only successfully complete my goals but to also prove that I have what it takes to swim at college level.
