I have been thinking about what to say in this for awhile now. It is hard to put in just one paragrapher who I am and what makes me a good candidate for your team. I believe that what I have to offer is more than just my swimming abilities. I have been working on the mental side of myself as an athlete as well as the physical side for quite some time. I feel as an athlete there is more to being successful then being able to swim fast. I have worked hard to accept that being an athlete at a high level means facing challenges and not always succeeding straight away. Becoming an athlete is a process and a hard one, but I know I am capable of facing those challenges and coming out stronger. I have had a long history with swimming and faced more then a few challenges as most athletes have. When faced with these challenges I have tried to learn from them as much as possible. At first that was not the case. Doing high performance swimming at the age of 10 I did not know how to deal with the challenges I faced. Looking back I have been able to take a lot away from them and that is why I am here today. I know given the right opportunity and having a coach that believes in me and sees what I can do I will be able to achieve great things for the team. This all applies for me academically as well. I work hard and always strive to do the best I can. I hope that this being said you would like to talk and get to know me more, I have said a lot but believe it or not there is still more I would love to talk about.
