I have been a competitive swimmer since the age of 7. I was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, but currently live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and compete out of the Windsor Aquatic Club. I hold both United States and Canadian Citizenship.
My goal is to swim and compete at the NCAA Division I level. Academically, I would like to pursue something in either the Health Sciences or Business. My personal swim goals are to compete at the highest levels both Nationally and Internationally. I am an extremely hard worker. I am driven both in the classroom and the pool. I jam currently a Junior (Grade 11) at Riverside Secondary School. As a swimmer, I am a three time Junior National Qualifier in four events, a three-time Canadian Age Group Trials qualifier, and recently qualified for Senior Nationals in the 100 Fly. I was the leading FINA points qualifier for the Windsor/Canadian team to compete at the International Children's Games in Hungary before the event was cancelled due to Covid 19. I have been the Best in Age Group (based on FINA points) for my swim club for the past four seasons and hold numerous age group club records for a swim club that has been in existence for over 50 years. Recently I was honored by the committee for the Windsor Essex Country Sportsperson of the Year (WESPY) as the top female swimmer in the region for 2022.
I am always striving to improve and constantly working on technique. I am a willing learner and thrive on the constructive critique of my coaches. I recognize that there is always room for improvement and look for ways to improve as a swimmer including attending Swim Ontario Select Development Camps and the University of Michigan Summer Swim Camp where I can learn from other high level coaches. I pride myself with being a leader both in and out of the pool. I am the vocal leader of my swim club and am constantly challenging and encouraging my teammates to compete on a daily basis. Swimming is my passion and one of my long-term goals is to compete at the highest levels with like-minded athletes. As much as I enjoy aspects of swimming as an individual sport, I love competing as part of a team and enjoy celebrating the accomplishments of my teammates.
