Personal Statement

I have been swimming since I was nine years old and previous to joining the swim team I was a gymnast. Once I jumped in the pool, I fell in love with the sport and knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my athletic career. I am a very competitive swimmer with dedication and a strong work ethic. I have been the captain of my high school swim team since my sophomore year. I try to lead by example as well as encouraging my teammates to succeed. I am focused not only on my workouts, but also on my nutrition to ensure I am healthy and at my best. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working swimmers and one of the hardest working recruits that you will find.

I also work very hard in school to maintain a 4.0 GPA as well as currently ranked second in my graduating class. I volunteer with a special Olympics program and find teaching special needs children how to swim to be truly rewarding. I am also a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Chorus, and Sports Leadership Club.

I want to attend college where I am athletically challenged while obtaining my degree. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model for my peers and make my parents proud.

My current swim record can be found here:  https://www.collegeswimming.com/swimmer/629617/

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
