My name is Lindsay Ostrowski, and swimming has been an influential part of my life since I was 8 years old. I currently swim at North Penn High school, and I have been swimming for the North Penn Aquatic club USA team since I was 10 years old. I am looking to swim at a collegiate level and hope to continue to push myself to be more successful. My years of swimming have taught me the meaning of being a member of a team. I understand the importance of working together towards making our team the best that they can be. I am looking forward to pushing myself to become a better and stronger swimmer and be fully engaged with my teammates in college. I will continue to show commitment by going to all the team events and practices. I have always had a strong foundation for butterfly. However, recently I have been competing in distance events as well. This has shown me to be open-minded and work on new things to improve myself.
My plan is to swim for the right college that also values academics. I would like to swim for either a Divison II or Division III school. Based on my times and level of competition, I think these would best suit me.
My future goal is to work in the field of Occupational Therapy. To attend a school with an Occupational Therapy program or a school to better my future in Health Science would be ideal. I am a hard worker and have a GPA of 3.99. I will continue to take my studies seriously and strive to better my times in the pool. I understand that being a student athlete could have some challenges, but I am excited, and I feel as though I am ready for the challenge. Swimming has shown to be a huge part of my life. I am eager to see what college swimming holds for me..
