Lauren Schofield '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lauren Schofield. I am currently a junior at Scranton Preparatory School and I and I am looking for a school that will further both my athletics and academics. I started swimming when I was eight years old in an age group league, and as I wanted to take my swimming to a higher level, I joined a USA club team my freshman year (Blue Dolphin Aquatics).  This decision enabled me to reach some of my highschool highlights thus far and to lead me to set higher goals for myself. One of my goals is that by senior year I will earn a Speedo Summer Championship cut. I have always played a strong leadership role within my team and this year, my junior year, I have been selected by my teammates to be a captain for this swim season.

I also consider myself a leader within the classroom where I have set high expectations for myself academically. I have earned high honors both my freshman and sophomore years, and in my junior year I am pursuing an AP Chem course and an Honors math class. I feel as I have been able to achieve my goals in both the pool and classroom with the support of my family, friends and teammates. 

I am looking forward to continue working hard to achieve my goals and for the recruiting process to begin.
