My goal for college swimming is to be competitive in the school/division where I compete. I want to leave college with a good education and quickly be able to get a job. Something that I can bring to the team/school is that I chose a different kind of education in high school. I went to public school until 8th grade (Moniteau High School). Right before 9th grade I decided to try cyber school. There were a couple reasons I wanted to try something different. I did not feel like I was being challenged at my high school and most cyber schools offered more electives and paths. I also wanted to have more time to focus on my training. I wanted to be able to do CrossFit along with swimming. So, with cyber I can do one in the morning and one at night. I think doing cyber has greatly impacted my swimming for the better. I go to Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (PALCS) which is in the top 100 schools in the state. I think that being a cyber student has prepared me for college. I have to have self discipline to get my assignments done because there is nobody constantly telling me what to do. It has taught be to be more independent with school along with swimming.
