Ellen Chadwick '21 Recruiting Profile

    Swimming is an important part of my life and I cannot imagine college without it. I'm always looking for ways to improve and drop time, and for me swimming is one of the most rewarding sports. Many of the highlights of high school so far have been from swimming, like when our medley relay broke the state record. Beyond that though, some of my favorite memories are of cheering with my team and walking out onto the pool deck with my relay. 

    I love swimming because of the team energy and the unique bonds that form with other teammates. I am looking for a school where I would be a good fit athletically and academically, because I have always tried to balance my time so that school and swimming don't interfere.  I was able to maintain my grades even during the busiest time of the year when I was doing club swimming and varsity track because I have learned how to be more efficient with my time. I believe that I would be a good addition to a college swim team because of my motivation to improve, team spirit, and strong performances under pressure. My best swims of the season are always at my high school state meet where there is tight competition and the opportunity to score points for my team.
