Megan Fallin '23 Recruiting Profile

When I was younger, I tried a number of sports including soccer and Tae Kwon Do where I earned a black belt at age 10.  I began taking swim lessons at the age 7, and quickly fell in love with the sport.  I have been hooked ever since, and have swam year round with USA Swimming’s Occoquan Swim Club (OCCS) since age 8. I also swim in the summer swim league (Brookside Hurricanes), and for the last three years I have swam on the Kettle Run High School varsity swim team. I enjoy participating on relays with my teammates. Whilst swimming on Kettle Run’s swim team I have qualified for the state championship all three years. My favorite events include the 100-fly and 50 free. 

I hope to continue my swim career in college. I’m looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I am interested in earning a degree in business, possibly accounting as I have always enjoyed mathematics and problem solving. Swimming has made me stronger both physically and mentally. With any sport, not seeing the results you want could affect your mindset drastically. From my years of swimming, I have learned that I won't always see the results I want, but that always makes me want to push myself further. I believe I have what it takes to make an immediate impact on your program, and will provide the dedication and commitment to you that I have displayed throughout my career.
