My Goals in Swim: Well of course right now I'd just like to finish the short course season (2013) with a bang, by going a 58.59 in the 100 backstroke, so I can go to junior nationals. After than I plan to just keep up the good work, by going to practice whenever I can and preparing for long course state. Then after that I have my senior year on the Grafton Girl's Swim and Dive team, which I am so excited for. I'm excited to be the leader on the team and to possibly win a state championship for my school! Individually I'd love to get on the podium for all of my races, whatever they may be. I also want to be seen as a great leader on the team, and someone anyone can go to in their time of need because that's always been a goal of mine. In college I'd love to be on a great team with a great atmosphere!
My Goals in Life/School: In school next year I am going to be taking at least four AP classes, because I want to be prepared for college. I'd also love to be able to improve my grades so I can get good scholarships, because you can't just depend on your sport to carry you to college you have to use your brains. In college I'd like to study to be a teacher (history) because I love to teach people and kids, and I'd love to teach high schoolers because they are mature so you can have a serious or a funny conversation with them (I know my teachers have really inspired me to be a teacher). After college I'd love to live a normal life and to have a happy family with it's ups and downs. I'd also like to be a swim coach, because I know that I will not be able to swim forever (no matter how much I wish). I know that age and injuries can slow people down but I could never just leave this sport; swimming is a sport that requires you body, heart, and soul. I know that when I am done competitively swimming that I will be able to look back and say that it was the best time of my life, and that it's my turn to inspire another little kid so that they can feel the same way I will.
