My name is Sloane Anderson and I am a senior in Fox Point, Wisconsin. I’m very interested in swimming collegiately as I'm really passionate about my sport.
I compete for Ozaukee Aquatics club team. After focusing on butterfly and IM events for a number of years and continuing that focus for my high school team, with the help of coaches, I've recently recognized my skill as a quality distance swimmer. My main events are the 400/500 (5:28.59 SCY), 800/1000, the 1500/1650, the 200 butterfly, and I also enjoy the 100 butterfly (1:01.48 SCY/1:09.25 LCM), the 200 IM (2:20.05 SCY) and the 400 IM.
I’ve been a homeschool student for the entirety of my education and have complemented my studies with college courses, earning 19 credits since enrolling as a high school freshman and excelling with a cumulative unweighted 3.97 GPA (weighted: 4.37). One of my biggest goals for a college experience is to find an environment where I can be a part of a team. I have formed lifelong friendships through swimming and not only admire and look up to my older teammates, but enjoy being a role model for the younger swimmers. Being a student-athlete will allow me to build on what I'm learning in the classroom, while establishing character to prepare for life's challenges. Hard work is a key ingredient in any endeavor and I’m determined to put everything I have into this next chapter of my life.
