Mickenna Davis '23 Recruiting Profile

Swimming has had a large positive influence in my life and my families life.  I started swimming in 2014 casually, but once I saw my older brother who has autism join the swim team and attain his goals and personal triumphs including perfect attendance, I knew that swimming was for me.  Every day after that I worked hard in practice and in meets to show him what an inspiration he was to me.  My freshman year of High School I also achieve perfect attendance for practices and meets.  Sometime during my freshman year I really fell in love with working hard and seeing improvements.  I fell in love with swimming.  I now have a goal to continue to improve and continue my swimming career collegiately.  I am starting my Junior in High School and I am looking forward to seeing my teammates, bonding,  and contributing to another state title(hopefully).  Next year as a Senior I will be running for Team Captain.  I take pride in the fact that my coaches and teammates will say that work ethic is great.  

As a 16 year old I am still undecided in a major for my future college years, but academics are very important to me as I intend on getting a degree.  I work hard for my grades and as a sophomore received a 4.0 GPA.
