My name is Emma Rogers, and I am from Pinedale, Wyoming. I have been swimming competitively since 6th grade and will be going into my junior year of high school. After high school I would like to pursue a career in teaching. My plan is to major in Elementary Education and minor in Special Education for the deaf and the blind.
During my freshman year of swimming I placed 5th at state in the 200 Individual Medley, and received the Adam Denton Award for qualifying in all swimming events. My sophomore year I placed 3rd at state in the 50 freestyle, and received the Adam Denton Award once again. Going into my junior year of high school I have been lifting weights and going to swim camps occasionally throughout the summer, I plan to receive the Adam Denton Award this year as well as become a state champion.
I would like to pursue my swimming career at a collegiate level because of my intense drive and love for the sport. I find that I am very hard working, competitive, and I love to improve mentally and physically inside and outside of swimming. If I got the opportunity to represent your school I would strive to be the best individual swimmer I can be while representing your program, school, and community in a positive way. I am seeking a college where I can earn a strong education while working to improve my skills. I look forward to have the opportunity to represent your school.
