Hey Coaches! I hope you are having a wonderful day! I started playing tennis three years ago. Before my freshman year started I had just stopped competitive gymnastics and was looking for something different. So I picked up a racquet and immediately fell in love. During my sophomore year, my team and I earned a spot at the state championship. I have never felt more at home in a sport. Even though I didn’t get far in the matches, I had the time of my life being around the amazing players, atmosphere, and learning experience. I have learned that a positive attitude goes a long way in this game. My positive attitude also has a big impact on my life choices and academic studies.
I have always been intrigued by sports and medicine. Therefore I want to become an athletic trainer. I am currently the HOSA (future health professionals) president at my school and in my school's medical academy. Having the opportunity to turn my two favorite things into a career is unbelievable. My high school also has an ambassador program. I was accepted this past year due to my attitude, grades, clubs, and activities out of school. As an ambassador I am expected to essentially be a role model of the school.
Out of school my church has a council, and guess what, I'm on that too! I serve as the senior high (9-12 grade) representative for my youth group. My job is to gather ideas for growth and activities from the senior high group and share with our youth director. I have my challenges too, even though math is not my favorite subject I love to challenge myself and continue to pursue rigorous classes. I joined the math team too. With all of this I have maintained an average of a 3.8 GPA including honors/AP classes, earned the top seed position on my girls tennis team, and am pursuing league play starting this fall with 5 tournaments (Sept.- Nov.) already on the calendar in my area.
